About a year ago, I went on a hike with my partner and another couple along part of the Israel Trail on the beautiful Golan Heights.
Being that the other couple and my partner are avid hikers, I let go and totally trusted that they and my partner who has lived on the Golan for many years, would take me to where we were going.
So I followed them. As we walked, both men would periodically stop and look around and at first I was totally oblivious to what they were doing. Eventually I realized that they were looking for the trail markers to make sure we were still on it and to see where it leads to next.
As a result, I too began to look for the markers and had a wonderful time on the trail, along with feeling a sense of flow with it that I would not have had had I not engaged with the markers.
