I’ll Get Back To You…

get back
“It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.”
The Invitation, by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

Are you a pleaser?

Do you override your own inner counsel in order to serve/please/not rock the boat?

Do you feel that you have not honored yourself while succumbing to society’s needs and demands?

Hey, it’s okay. Most of us have been in this position way more than once or twice.

It’s often easy to be swept up by the collective and only later to take the time to sit and to listen to our own inner counsel. It’s hard to hear it when events are intensely raging around us, demanding our immediate attention.
One key that I have learned over the years is how to create space and time to process enough both to honor myself and please the collective. It’s a short phrase that a dear friend introduced me to and it goes like this:
“I’ll get back to you”

What, really, I said, can I really say that? I had always felt the need to come up with an immediate answer. I had this thing about not being there for another in the moment and I would feel guilty if I couldn’t be. At times I forgot, over and over, that I was involved too and needed to be cared for just as much as another.

Moreover, there have been times that I had to disappoint another in order to honor myself, just like in the poem excerpt above.

Did you know that the best way to serve another is to be as complete and whole in your own skin and your own being as possible? The more settled and centered you are, the more settled and centered another person has the potential to be, just by being near you and resonating with your relaxed core.

As we approach the New Year and review what we have experienced during this year, check in to see how you could further support yourself in your own being, thereby being even more available for others.

So why not sign up for a 30 minute complementary “Soul Discovery, Soul Recovery” session with me in which I will help you into that inner place that is unruffled and quiet, creative and calm? Just send me your time zone and we’ll set it up: http://box5656.temp.domains/~rhondaea/contact-us/

Recommendation:
My good friend and colleague, Anael Harpaz, is an amazing healer, friend, and human being. She is one of the most compassionate people I know and offers in person and phone or online sessions. Check her out at: http://anaelforpeace.com/

So go ahead and really listen in to feel your own needs and heart’s desires. The more you can do that, the more everyone around you will honor that same place, making it easier for all of us to honor each other from a clean, nourished, enriched place.

Love and Blessings,
Rhonda Joy
