Do You Have Too Much On Your Plate?

Are you stressed about having too much to do?

Just today, I realized that I have had an intermittent ache in my upper back for a few days. Yes, it took me all this time to realize that something was going on that I was not listening to.

So I decided to take a mini-vacation to listen to what my body and my psyche was trying to tell me.

The first thing I realized was that I was stressed about all the mental activity I’ve been engaged in, such as sending emails, talking to clients and organizing my next workshops and sessions. I was getting more and more overwhelmed and it felt like I was filling up too much, like my body was under pressure from the inside out. Ugh, not too pleasant.

So first, I thanked myself for recognizing the situation. Kind of a self appreciation gesture.

I immediately felt myself relax.

Then I thought of all of the tools I myself can use to diffuse some of this pent up energy.

I did some EFT (emotional freedom techniques) and acupressure and then used one of my favourite tools; using my voice to sing to the area, to allow it to express ITSELF and by doing so, I could intuit what it needed and wanted from me.

At this moment, I feel physically balanced and my mind is much clearer. This entire process took no more than 15 minutes, maybe even less.

My point here is that there are so many ways we can help ourselves if we can train ourselves to be aware of when we have left our “zone of wellbeing”.
