Wishing or Intending For Your Best Life – Does it Matter Which?

As we fast approach the Jewish New Year, there is a natural tendency to do an accounting of the past year and to contemplate the upcoming one.

In contemplating the New Year, does it matter how we do so?

By wishing for a good improved life, or by intending it? Isn’t it the same thing?

I think there is a vast difference between the two. When I think of “wishing” for something, I can’t help but seeing Jiminy Cricket wishing upon that oh- so- far- off star. Hey, it’s far, that star! How (sigh) are my wishes going to manifest from so far off?

When I think of INTENDING something, to me it feels much different. I can actually see it, feel it in my being and then I get excited, as if it is already here.

This is the big difference between just wishing and intending. An intention has a more solid, purposeful vibration to it which is PALPABLE in the body. This is the key, to be able to SENSE it in your very being.

So let me show you the difference in the way an intention FEELS as opposed to a wish.

Wish: I wish I could afford a better car.

Intention: I am so happy and proud that I have the means to buy a beautiful, reliable, comfortable new car.

Can you just hear the sigh after the wish?
Can you feel the excitement about the reliable car? I can even see what color it is!

The trick is to state the intention in PRESENT TENSE and use an emotional word or phrase, such as I AM SO HAPPY AND PROUD.

So I invite you to sit down, get a pad and pen, and jot down at least 3 intentions for the next six months to a year. Don’t worry about HOW it will manifest. That is not your business, because that’s the Universe’s expertise. All you need to do is create clear, focused intentions using a positive emotional tag that will cause you to actually FEEL the existence of what you intend NOW. Leave the HOW to the universe.

To put the icing on the cake, SING THE SONG of your intentions. A wordless, spontaneous song that reflects the FEELING you get when you think of what you are manifesting and you will inject the entire process with much more energy.

Then next step is to be ATTENTIVE, to see what messages and opportunities you will be receiving as the physical, worldly manifestation of your intentions.

So stay open, fully expecting them to come into your experience.

If you would like to explore how to do this for yourself, I would be delighted to gift you with a 30 minute complementary “Soul Discovery, Soul Recovery” session to get you on your way to self regulation and health. Click here to claim your session http://box5656.temp.domains/~rhondaea/contact-us/

There’s a new book out that will change the way you think about spirituality forever. In Evolutionary Enlightenment: A New Path to Spiritual Awakening, Andrew Cohen redefines spiritual awakening for our contemporary world—a world characterized by exponential change and an ever-expanding appreciation for the processes of evolution.

“Andrew Cohen has the pulse of modern life at his fingertips,” says Deepak Chopra, who wrote the foreword. “He made me believe something I long to be true: There has never been a better time to be enlightened.”

Why such high praise? Evolutionary Enlightenment offers a distinctly different view from many of today’s most popular spiritual paths, which emphasize “being in the present moment” in order to find peace and relief from the complexity of our fast-changing world. In contrast, Cohen treats change not as something to be avoided, or merely tolerated, but as an essential aspect of reality that needs to be consciously embraced.

Through five tenets for living an enlightened life, Cohen will empower you to wholeheartedly participate in the process of change as your own spiritual practice. Order today at:
