“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
–Mother Teresa
Who am I to decide to give up?
Do I really have the right to say it’s enough, or is there much, much more that I am destined for?
Do I really have the right to say that the going is too hard?
How do I know when to stay and when to change course?
This is truly the key question.
By what parameters do I decide that I am on course or off and if I’ve fallen off, how do I get back on?
Many of us spend years of our lives feeling that we are “almost there but not quite” and long for a life of more fulfillment and satisfaction. This would most likely include a sense of flow, abundance and prosperity, joy, happiness, sharing; you fill in the blanks.
I think a lot of it has to do with an inner feeling of Being Enough.
Society is not really geared toward this sensation. It is fiercely competitive leaving even some of the very rich and successful clamoring for more acknowledgement, more money, more status, etc.
So how can you really feel that you are on the right track for you?
How can you set up a set of values and principles that most fit you as a valuable individual making a significant contribution?
The first thing to do is to find a way to value Yourself, for who you are, for your uniqueness, your beauty, your light.
The second thing is to nurture Yourself from within, acknowledging yourself on the deepest level, every day.
The third thing is to invite (even just with your mind and heart) people of like mind and heart who will truly see you and will reflect all of your best qualities back to you.
And the fourth is to practice gratitude: for your life, for your relationships to yourself and others, for everything in your life; material and otherwise.
These are keys to transforming your life from Mundane to Sacred, because when the appreciation and gratitude begins to overflow out of you, people can’t help but notice and nurture you with the same.
I invite you to begin this very “Sacred Process towards Yourself” with a 30 minute complementary session with me. Just drop me a line with your time zone and skype name if you have one and we’ll set it up: http://box5656.temp.domains/~rhondaea/contact-us/
