“…Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”From “A Return to Love”, by Marianne Williamson
You know, I have a feeling that the number one wound most of us carry is that we are constantly comparing ourselves to others, sometimes just to make sure we are “Normal” or that we belong to the collective society around us.
Unfortunately, most of us went to school and had to be mindful to keep our grades up I order to stay in sync with everybody else and that one of the biggest things missing in school was to uplift our uniqueness.
Nobody ever taught the value of Uniqueness, of our own Specialness; of our Mastery.
Sounds a bit egotistical doesn’t it?
Well, comparison is pretty egotistical too. Like I am better than others because…
Isn’t it better to celebrate our Uniqueness? Each of ours? That way, we get to recognize it not only in ourselves, but also in each other.
We can liken it to our organs. Imagine your liver trying to outdo your brain, or your heart telling you spleen that it’s way better than it. Our very wise organs know what the qualities of each one is and recognize as well as value each other for their amazing function. So if we as Humans can each be likened to be an organ of the Human Collective Body, then each of us is more than welcome to shine in our own right, to contribute fully to the overall Body.
Cool concept huh?
So this is really what, at least in part, personal development is to me; to get to a place in which I feel my own value and that of others. To find a place within myself for the other, for the difference between myself and another and to celebrate my and his/her uniqueness.
So how does this play out in your life?
I am delighted to announce that on Thursday September 25th, I will be giving a “Sacred Sound and Life Visioning” workshop that will uplift our uniqueness, at Elysium Healing Arts Massage & ReikiWellness Center & Day Spa, in Burbank near Los Angeles. I am also offering Personalized Healing Sessions on Monday October 6th. When we combine the use of focused Visioning and Sound, the results are immediate, as the sound entrains our entire energy system, which includes our body, thoughts and emotions, to the new Vision that we are attracting and manifesting. We begin to actually vibrate our intentions into Reality.
You are welcome to call Elysium to sign up for the workshop or sessions. I will be thrilled to see you there! (818) 859-7032. Check out their website: www.themassagexperts.com
Wishing you the courage to allow your light to shine,
