Dr. Suess, that childhood icon that we all remember, had it right.

If you think he was only for kids, I beg to differ.

He knew how to say the simplest way of saying the most some of the most important and philosophical things that we as adults often miss.

I came across a lovely video of “Oh the Places You’ll Go”.

If you have ever come across the principles of the law of attraction and self empowerment, he puts them here, in a humorous way, but simply and profoundly.

Sometimes we get caught up in the complexities of life, forgetting the feeling of what it’s like to live simply, step by step, in a way that allows us to process the information coming into our system. Sometimes we get overwhelmed by the amount and intensity of stimulation and information needing to be processed.

That’s why it’s important to get back to basics; to allow our systems the time and space to contemplate and absorb all of this information.

One way to do this is to find quiet time, possibly in nature or a special spot at home, to settle, to acknowledge and to regroup.

Most important of all, is to remember that YOU are in the driver’s seat of your life. YOU are the ONE making the decisions, possibly more than you even realize. YOU have the choice to, well, choose whatever is on the table at any one time.

DON’T forget! You are in charge.
