Living in the New Now

“Living in the Now” is somehow becoming a bit of a cliché in my mind. People talk about it all of the time and give examples of how to go with the flow.

What really interests me is the Now itself! What I mean is to explore what it means to be living NOW, in this very changeable period, when up seems to be down and down seems to be up at times.

It almost seems as if the rules of the game are changing. If in the past I pretty much knew ahead of time how my work week would look, today I have found that my schedule with fill up sometimes from day to day or even hour to hour, with a lot of adjustments in between. We are all in a state of flux and sometimes it is hard to commit to something because the reality around us is so changeable.

This can really be a challenge, bring up a lot of resistance and/or resentment, or we can look at it completely differently, taking into account that we are all pretty much in the same boat. Sometimes the waters are calm and consistent and at other times, they are a bed of roiling and boiling foam and all we can do is to hold on and wait for a change in weather.

What I have observed in myself is that I am creating a new inner agreement inside of me to CHOOSE not to resist when changes arise, but to allow them to unfold. This way I can stay with what is happening with curiosity and openness and more often than not the results are simply wonderful and fulfilling. This also helps me to stay open to new possibilities and opportunities, so it’s a constant adventure and I am really loving it!

So the way I drop into this place of flow is by reminding myself that I am “covered” , that the Universe “has my back” and that I can best invest my energy by being creative and getting out of worry.

Worry will stop the flow cold at any time, so it’s best to practice getting out of the “worry vortex” by changing your thoughts  to something positive and hopeful. It does take some practice, but it’s way better than getting pulled into the bottomless pit of despair and negativity. AND it does only take a thought to pop out of it!

To me, the operative word is TRUST.

So practice being in the New Now and let me know how it feels.

I invite you to come and  practice this with me, in a 30 minute complementary “Soul Discovery, Soul Recovery” session is which we will creatively find ways to flow and to expand into the opportunities available uniquely to you!
