Living Between Faith and Doubt

faith

We live in a world of polarity; a world of two sidedness, of above and below, of inside and outside, of male and female.

Like a lot of people, I tend to vacillate between one or the other, always striving to conjure up the middle ground; the point between; the resolution of the two into one.

To me this is not a simple task but rather a constant negotiation and a dance of acceptance within the Human habit of judgment.

I must say that I am most at ease when I reach that space of flow and acceptance in which I feel secure enough to allow the process of unfolding, embraced by being okay with what is. Loving and accepting what is.

Occasionally, what appears to be outside of me strikes such a deep chord of pain that it hurtles me into imbalance, knocking me off course, beyond my tranquil stream-of-life. This is when I feel the most challenged; the least secure and lacking a solid point of reference to rely upon.

My sense is that the only way to live a truly dynamically balanced life, is to cultivate a deep foundation of trust, self care and personal accountability to the world.

What I mean is that each of us being an integral part of the Community of Humanity possesses a unique gift to contribute to the whole, but contribution needs to be based upon an authentic basis of self care and even self knowledge and wisdom.

We need to take the time to get to know ourselves; to know who we are; to learn what it is that makes each of us special and to let our uniqueness and gifts unfold to later be shared.

This is not a Utopian thought, it is rather a path to cultivate that which will lead to a tapestry of multiple paths aligning to contribute to a world of delightful expression and healthy creativity. This both personally and in the long run; collectively.

We are all so beautiful and powerful, yet we tend to shy away from truly sharing ourselves with each other.

This can be seen in so many areas in society beginning from our unfortunately twisted perception about emotional connection and on to the issue of touch.

We have forgotten how to truly connect to one another in a heart based manner. We tend to hide our feelings and would rather exchange cognitive ideas only. Passion is rarely shared except for “being in love”.

But what is Being in Love other than sharing Space in the Field of Love with another?

Of course, being in any kind of relationship runs the risk of being hurt, by rejection, projection or abandonment. This simply comes with the territory and this is where Faith comes in.

In order to really shift into a better way of living, we need to engender a foundation of inner trust and faith in ourselves and each other to relieve the Doubt, which is really our terribly frightened Inner Child.

Our Inner Child simply wants to be sure that it is being taken care of.

So just notice how much better the sensation of trust feels in the body.

Use your bodily sensations as a reference to what feels the best.

Dare to feel deeply. Dare to touch another.

The payoff is greater than you may imagine.

I trust that we can do it!
