How Did You Get Here?

YouAreHereHow do you handle all of the day to day details that need to be attended to?

Do you get have trouble keeping tabs on everything that has to be done?

Do you find yourself dropping into worry and stress over it all?

Well, if so, you may simply need a moment to get centered in order to bring you back to the present, in which you can then reconnect to flow and synchronicity.

Once you are in this place, life seems to flow on its own, bringing with it the intermittent pleasant surprise of having just about everything fall into place!

So the trick is finding the centering exercise that is simple and quick enough to apply in the moment. Something that is easily repeated and remembered is best, so that you can use it at any time in the moment.

Funnily enough, one of the things that works really well for me is to work backwards, by asking “How Did I Get Here?”.
I first visualize how I want my final result to be and then I work backwards, seeing how I “created” it in the future. When I track things back, somehow the details of how I “got it done” reveal themselves quite beautifully.

For example, right now I’m busy finding contractors to do a renovation on my house. I was finding that the details of lining people up were becoming a bit overwhelming, so I have decided to apply the backwards approach. I then looked at the entire finished project In The Future to see what it looks and feels like. What I see is the finished product, with the details already taken care of. I look at each stage of the project and ask myself: “How did I get there”, for example, painting the house.  I then “looked” to see who did the job. So I choose him for painting, etc.

Somehow by doing this, the method I will use reveals itself to me and alleviates the stress of having to over-control and oversee so much. It may be a bit wacky, but it works great!

So let me know what centering method works for you. Is it breath, meditation, going for a walk, dancing to fiery music?  I would be happy to help you define and deepen your way to make it more accessible and immediate in a 30 minute complementary session!
